

Scott Rocher is a senior web architect and engineer with over 10 years experience using technology like PHP, Symfony2, Ruby on Rails, Memcached, Squid, Javascript, CSS, and HTML5 to build high-scale content and eCommerce web products. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and works remotely as CTO for Los Angeles based subscription coffee roaster Tonx.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2004, Scott worked as a Web Developer and Project Manager at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies, an innovative research facility in Marina del Rey. In 2005, with the help of his friend Stewart King, Scott created The Black Stripe, a unique online social tool. From June 2007 to March 2010, Scott worked as a Front End Engineer for Yahoo! Entertainment, helping build the next generation of global Movie and TV websites. Before moving to Atlanta, he was an early employee and lead engineer at Santa Monica daily deal startup FamilyFinds. After moving to Atlanta in 2011, he helped Half Off Depot significantly grow revenues by expanding their ecommerce platform. In May 2010, he sold a food truck aggregator Cluster Truck, to a local LA entrepreneur.
He’s married to a developer named Blithe and has a dog named Nola.
